Residential Subdivisions | Commercial / Industrial Subdivisions and Sites

Engineering and design of commercial sites takes a special combination of technical know-how and practical experience. Aquarion’s engineers are able to craft site plans that manage all facets of water and sewer flow, drainage, utility easements, and topographical considerations. At the same time, our commercial sites are inviting spaces where professionals work and thrive.

Residential Subdivision Case Studies
Gannett Drive Development—South Portland, Maine
Aquarion generated a variety of plans for this seven-acre parcel in the Cummings Road Business Park. We provided a site layout plan, utilities plan, grading and drainage plan, and more. We also delivered a stormwater management and erosion control report and review of stormwater quality in conjunction with the requirements of the business park. The building is now an office for the Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Bayside Square Professional Building—Portland, Maine
This urban infill project is located in a revitalization area within the City of Portland. Aquarion was contracted by Atlantic National Trust, Inc. to prepare site development plans for municipal approvals and construction documents. Existing structures on two parcels were demolished to accommodate the construction of a 50,000 square foot professional building and 184 parking spaces. The design involved coordination with Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) for connection of on-site stormwater facilities to the State’s stormdrain system. Aquarion also provided off-site designs for intersection improvements to the Marginal Way and Preble Street intersection. The building is now home to AAA.
